I didn't read it that way though. I saw the section that mentioned drug testing during the internment which isn't the same thing by a long chalk but maybe I missed a bit.

It is, however, paid. Not a fortune, but every little helps.

Just an aside they reckon that the UK is facing a shortage of cyber experts in the near future and the serious salaries reflect that. Despite best efforts there's still a tendency to be London-centric with most of these opportunities.. But as Neil pointed out unlike many interns at least you get some form of payment and you never know where it may lead

From memory a big chunk of cyber detection is done at GCHQ in Cheltenham so any future roles for very successful interns maybe outside of London.
