Claire has decided, since the car is largely her office and she drives about 30k miles a year, to go for an SUV type vehicle. so she's considering the Audi Q2, The Kia and Hyundai offerings Sportage & Tucson and the Seat Ateca.
Tucson: The 1.6T petrol is a nice drive for an SUV. Lack of steering feedback irritates me but one can still manage "the fun twisties" reasonably confidently. Grip is fine and safe. The brakes are very reasuring and light but easy to modulate. It is surprisingly fast up to about 100 mph (so fine for the UK and even rarely embarrassed in Germany
).
However, those CO2 values you listed may rule it out. Is it going to be a petrol or a diesel? The 132 PS 2wd petrol version was too lethargic for me but even that was refined and these cars feel much more expensive than they really are. Ours is a fairly basic 4wd but still has all the essentials. The higher models are quite luxurious. The 19" wheels look good but the standard 17" ones are probably the sensible bet.
The Sportage is basically the same car with a different body and we liked the looks of the Tucson better.
To find detail of car ranges, I download the brochures and look for the tech pages. Configurators are only marketing tools to extract more money from the customer
