Good stuff.

I've had mine 8 years - I came close to selling it earlier this year as I just don't use it a lot, but to be honest it's the only thing in my life that I own that is 100% just for me, because I like it.

It's a real 'you only live once' thing - I can't think of another car short of a supercar that would make me feel the way it does.

Glad you decided to stick with it smile mine has been in the garage since August but this morning I got her out in the sun and It felt just like wearing those favourite comfy pair of shoes that you keep getting repaired. I don't want to add up the bills paid over the years as it would likely be shocking but the smile on my face says it's worth it smile

Finally managed to collect the old girl this morning. She'd only done 8 miles in the last 4 years, so service regardless, she was a bit rough. However by the time I got her home she was running really well. Needed a good clean too - funny how cleaning the coupe isn't a chore like other cars!

Also managed to replace the handbrake console as the original one was 'melting'; you'd get out of the car and wonder why your hands were black, only to find that it was melted rubber that won't come off.

There's plenty of work still to do and as soon as Christmas is out of the way I'll get her back in to Roger to get a few important bits sorted.

Meanwhile, a few pics and advice needed:

The slam panel is very rusty. Is it possible to refurbish this? If so, any advice or is there a 'How to'?

The rear screen washer has never worked in my time owning the car. Am I right in thinking that the screw in the image here has been used to block the passage out of the reservoir? If so, is it an easy enough job to just replace the pump? Also, I've no idea why it would have been blocked up, should I be concerned about re-connecting it (i.e. likelihood of a leak somewhere else etc)?

My rear wheel arches are rusty. Obviously I don't want this to spread too far along the panel. Is there a quick (and cheap fix) for this? How worried should I be?

Sorry for all the questions, but it's been so long since she was on the road, now all I want to do is make her better again!
