Hi all

4 years later and my 20VT "saga", that some of you know about, rumbles on. As I've said before I'll share the whole story when it's all finally legally over.

For now, can someone tell me how to remove front seats from a 20V n/a please [the pile of pants I went to Scotland to collect from a vicar who assured me it was in good nick and defnitely DIDN'T need breaking!].

I've looked through all the "How To's" & "FAQ's" and tried searching too and, as I've found nothing, would guess it's simple. I just can't seem to get any sort of access to undo the fronts even with the seats right back. Do the plastic side covers at the outer front of each need to be removed? Do the [allen] bolts attached to the rails need to be undone and if so, how can I get access to get a tool in there?

Some times the simplest things confuse me most!!!

Cheers

Hi Skulkin,
You've spotted the allen bolts, thems the things you need to undo, four for each seat, an allen key will do it, one with a small ball end would help.

Yep. Undo the front two allen bolts, then slide seat forward to get access to the rear. IMPORTANT, make a note of which bolt comes from each hole. Drivers seat will need to have the seatbelt warning cable unplugged.

When re-fitting be careful as it is very easy to strip the bolts.
