Just wondering how people have been finding the FCCUK/coupe turnout at events recently?
I went to the Fast Car Festival at Donington on Sunday and thought we would have had a better turn out. From the website the show looked appealing with plenty happening, free entry all weekend as part of the club, cheap track time and located fairly centrally just of the M1.
But in the end we had 3 coupes turn up. That's with me posting it on the Facebook sites too.
It was a decent enough show though and nice to get out on a track for the first time in this coupe and at Donington.
Below is what i posted in the UK Social section...........
Right, these photos appear to be working from my Google drive....
Early morning sun My attempt at a bumper repair The coupe area 1 The coupe area 2 The cooldown Home time and a couple of videos....
A quick video of one on my laps around Donington National The sound quality isn't very good, but apparently that's because I used the wrong case on my mate's GoPro!
And before any of you armchair F1 drivers start, I was taking it steady as the old girl is my daily driver!
mikndo69 leaving.............. Me and my mate actually really enjoyed the day.
We got there early to get on the clubstand, then went straight to the grandstand to watch some of the cars on track. The first group of cars out was a mix of some cracking supercars. The latest Lambos, Porches, Aston Martins etc giving it a good thrashing up the pit straight.
We had track time booked at 13:20, so between getting the car ready, doing the briefings and having a look round the other card, our morning flew by.
We entered the novice track session for £35 for 30 mins and was all we needed. The track wasn't overcrowded with a good mix of cars!
I'll go again next year, if not just for the cheap track time!
