Hey,

I was wondering if the ceiling light could be disassembled ? Not from the car, but to separate the differents elements.

The rectangular plastic on the left for example :

I can't check as I'm not with the car ATM...

Thanks !

I suspect not Yann.

UK ones are different, they have provision for the remote locking and alarm built in instead of the plain panel you show in your picture.

It is a one piece plastic moulding for all of the black parts which are visible.

The reflectors, switch covers and circuit boards are removable. Held in place by moulded snaps, you just gently move them clear of the part to be removed.

16VT and X1/9 1500

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

Thanks for the information.

Mine is a bit damaged, and by looking for some parts today on the web, I saw a ceiling light like you described, with the "bubble" for the key, and wanted to know if it was removable to put the black plate instead... Nevermind !

I've got a couple of these and mine is in bits in the house.

In time, I'm planning to 'backlight' the switches on mine, so you can find them in total darkness. It's difficult without compromising the originality of the car.

I've got no remote locking hardware inside mine.

The blank panel however, is indeed a solid part.

The remote locking was 16v models. The 20vs(barring some very early ones) had a radio system not located in the light.
