Didn't note the reg but just googled out of interest and yes that looks like the one! Mad thing - real Mad-Max machine..... Looked just the same TBH - rough but was travelling some! Interested to know why anyone would do this conversion...... The rumour going around at one of the shows was that it was inspired by the Range Rover Carmichael. Don't know if there's any truth to that though. I was disappointed to find the rearmost axle is unpowered.

I believe it was built by Ford, to a customers specifications. It was originally red, looked nicer than the matt black it now sports. Sold again in late 2014. Excerpt from the ebay ad: Ford Granada Mk1 Estate 6 wheeler.. This was custom built in Ford's engine factory.. There was a mk1 estate and a mk2 estate made, the mk2 estate has been scrapped therefore this is the only one left, and its a genuine Ford built vehicle. Car starts up first time and the engine is sweet , clock showing 9856, but guessing this has been round the clock, although previous owner did tell me a new recon engine had been fitted and done approx 27,000 miles. Cannot guarentee this but the engine does look very clean.. Overall the car is solid , bit of rust on the pass side door and outer cill but it is 37 years old, has a few months MOT on it, the tax ran out yesterday.. I took the car in part exchange and was going to break it and banger race it, but being one of a kind its too rare for that, needs to be saved as it will be a collectors piece of the future!

Wow interesting stuff jim thanks. I'm amazed that Ford themselves would go to the trouble (and no doubt expense) of producing that. If I see it parked up around Warwick I'll try and nab the owner for a chat.......

Not sure if they are rare went out in an AMG A45 today nice! sounds fantastic like a proper boy racer car fast too! Chap just started work with us has one of those which I had a nose around the other night. Looks the part but not sure I'd spend £40k on a hot hatch. Each to their own........

A very fast, very quiet Tesla - Derby I saw a Tesla locally today... I suspect they are starting to get more main stream. I heard they are investing in a massive new plant to make the next gen of affordable Teslas.... I'm quite excited.

Couple of days in central London - Lovely black FF, an elderly 'dame' tootling down Oxford Street in her superb Pagoda SL............ and a nice 'little' runaround Hummer parked up in Pimlico.

Immaculate Citroen Dyane in Tufnell Park - sort of burnt orange colour. Gets covered up and with traffic cones fore and aft too.

Back on track though: Friday a Citroen BX for the first time in years
I just have to look 100m down my road. My neighbour is a BX fanatic. Did have 3 on his drive, now 2. A 2.1 litre TD special (re-bore) and a 16v petrol. Pretty quick in its day. He managed to sneak in to a Coupe meet in 2014

I saw an immaculate Allegro yesterday in Highgate, Vandan Plas no less - with that massive ugly grill at the front (way ahead of Audi there). Lovely colour too, sort of creamy grey or grey cream, and the bloke driving it looked like he'd bought it new - massive ginger moustache and string-back driving gloves.

Really am kind of liking how all those 70's BL generation cars you never thought would be deemed as Classics are now getting in vogue. The early BX's were mad inside with rocker switch indicators on the dash - Classic Citroen!

Saw a host of interesting stuff at the season opening at Motorworld in Böblingen but by far the most popular was the the Pagani Huayra - one exquisitely put together automobile!!!

I saw an immaculate Allegro yesterday in Highgate, Vandan Plas no less Allegros were death traps - in a head-on collision, the front axle ends up on the front seats!
