Hi

[As a few of you here know] I am a VERY long suffering 20VT owner.

My legal case will hopefully come to court in the next few weeks.

I have registered an interest in a wine red 20VT on these forums as a replacement for mine and I intended to break and sell mine as parts due to the neglect and abuse it suffered at someone else's hands - hence the lawsuit.

As I've got nowhere finding a replacement so far I am once again considering bringing my Coupe back up to scratch again once the legal malarkey is finished.

Whilst I'm ok with most aspects I haven't got a clue about WELDING so I'm looking for someone based fairly near to me [I'm in Brighton] who really knows their way around Coupes to come and have a look at it for me and tell me if it is retrievable and how much it will cost to sort out.

I do know a few mechanics but would rather use a forum recommendation if there is one. Can anyone point me in the direction of someone reliable, quality, reputable etc.?

Many thanks in advance

skulkin

Joe from fcss is the man you need. Send him a message and your troubles will be over.
Good luck with it all.

I've used a company called Auto Body Care Hackhurst Lane Industrial Estate which is just north of Hailsham East Sussex. If your car is drivable it's about 40mins from Brighton A23 then A22. Ken has done a lot of work on my car. Welding typical Coupe boot floor issues! Cutting out wheel arches full respray etc. He is a Audi VAG crash repair specialist but when I went there he had various other cars being restored AC Cobra VW Golf GTI mk1 and some other old classics. I can't recommend him more highly. I'd obviously use Joe if I could but living down here it's just to far

Thanks chaps.

Joe would, without doubt, be my first choice if not so far away from me.

Will pop up and see Ken Richie as he seems to be pretty au fait with Coupes from what you've said.

Cheers

His done, as I said, over the past two years bits and bobs with the body work and the typical rust issues with mine. He's very reasonable as well! Mention me when you pop over!!

Hi Richie

I popped over and saw him. Seems a nice guy.

He did remember you and your car for sure and as it's pretty much in bits he's going to look at my coop when he gets over this way.

Thanks for the rec
