Delighted to get another MOT pass on my Coupe today, it needed a small brake pipe and a strap to hold the fuel tank in place so pretty good going and a reasonable bill! Glad to be able to keep it on the road and hillclimb track for another year, not bad for a Fiat with 196300 miles on the clock.

My one passed few weeks ago without any advisories with 187790 on the clock.

I'm a very happy bunny!

Possibly Jim, but I'll need to change my insurance limit if I do. My aim is to pass the 200k mark whilst on a timed run at Harewood Hill if I possibly can!

That is great, with recent weather I hadn't had chance to get a proper look at mine recently as I'm sure I could have spotted the two points and fixed it first, but not an issue really.

mines a VIS done 170000 now, does not burn oil 2.6 bar oil pressure when very hot.

I bought it in August with 163000 on the clock. I think the owner sold to me because it was overheating...(sneaky).. but this was just the expansion bottle cap faulty.

The service history says its had 14 oil changes in its lifetime.

Gimmo - get out and enjoy your roads in the Coupe more! They seem to be good for the mileage - or should that be kilometrage?

Jimboy - was a great feeling, the garage called me and I was worried what they would say was wrong, just two items was a great relief. I'm hoping it will have a very long life, no intention of ever getting rid of it but know it will need full rejuvenation one day.

Makka - that is better oil pressure than I have but I'm using fairly thin oil, but very good stuff. Mine had patchy service history when I bought it with 34k miles on the clock and has very little since as I do most of the servicing myself. Oil has been changed every 6k at most and it has had 4 cambelts during my ownership.

I take my Coop to a wee garage in the sticks, I used to work with the owner in the oil industry back in the day. All the young mechanics gather round & listen to the old mechanic telling them facts & figures relating to the "baby Ferrari" (his words) & how it could knock spots off of any of their cars.

Because I don't do many miles yearly, I'm looked on favourably. Anything pointed out gets done. I always have a big grin on my face driving back home with the yearly ticket lying on the passenger seat...... driving

Andy these coupes are rock solid. mines 17000 miles.

the car lived in oxford for around 60,000 miles and had been sold and serviced by a specialists in Oxford. Solo Italia.

when I bought it I checked the service book and used the recommended viscosity Oil.
I changed the gearbox oil flushed the cooling system put in distilled water. (saves head gaskets)

My 1996 N/A Scottie has done 140,000 miles but is on SORN at the moment, there is nothing wrong with it, just needs an MOT. My VIS is still a baby on 90,000. Rick at Solo Italia told me they can go on for mega miles.
