Agreed looks like a good job for home-made........... Always liked quilting on interiors. Looks a little bit Spyker-like.

For me it's like the emperor's new clothes, I don't like the quilted look, too much like a padded cell IMHO, but each to their own, and inspiration for others!

The original panels were plain, the guy did some quilted replacements several years ago but decided they were looking tired so re-did the quilting a bit differently. Still naff thouhg IMHO wink

And was it's trying to look like?
A bugatti veyron? Huayra?
It's style of the interior, it doesn't looks like anything like i've ever seen, that why it so cool.. Also most of the parts are still in "common" styling, not like some other folks that they paint everything and then it turns horrable...

Maybe the door panels won't suit everyone, but one thing is for sure, as whole details come together it makes the interior more "perfect"...
The original miata interior is far less beautiful than coupe's , but this interior is by far nicer than the original Coops...

I have a couple of old body warmers in the garage that I might stick to my door cards this weekend

Yeah and those 80's ankle warmers would make a nice steering wheel cover idea

quilting is not wrong for this era of Italian car

the Lancia Hyena had a quilted rear behind the front seats and I remember reading in Auto Italia at the time that they thought it was 'so Italian'.
I've always wondered about that comment but have subsequently spotted several Italians wearing dark quilted jackets.

It is distinctly a style from that part of the world. (in what I've noticed anyway)

It would suit the coupe with a kind of logic I think.
