Better performance tonight by England , especially once the subs were bought on. Goalkeeper looks inept though, you can tell she has been influenced at Man City by Joe Hart [ chewing of gum, taking a swig after making a blunder , just looks not up to the task ] !! Black lass up front was the other weak link in the last 2 games, seems like a headless chicken at times, gives the ball away and generally has little concept of team play . Apart from these 2, good performance.

I must admit I've been surprised and impressed by the level of skill and the quality of the attacking game that some of the teams are displaying.

However, the general standard of defending and goalkeeping leaves a lot to be desired.

Well I won £20 on England last night. We were still 5/4 and battering them. Easy money

No spitting, hacking, cheating, diving, etc. I am almost tempted to suggest that this is gender divide.

However, will it last?

I watched a bit of the womens footy during London 2012 and was so impressed I went to see England play Canada in the quarter finals at the Ricoh Arena. It was the worst game of football I have ever seen there - and bearing in mind I am a Coventry fan thats saying something!

The Matildas beaten by Japan frown
Still, a good result to get to the quarter finals.
