Is there anyone able to provide advice on pensions?

Last year our company, like many others, closed the final salary scheme. Fortunately I had many years invested in the old scheme and that along with benefits has been protected.

For those of us in the old scheme they have now given us access to a CARE scheme, which seems fine. However the new scheme has a later retirement for access to the new benefits. There is an option to contribute more in order to retain your original retirement date and it is this element that I need some advice on.

It is starting to make sense. Changes won't effect me too much it seems, apart from costing me a bit more
