...so, car back from bodyshop, and due to VW / Volvo / Renault related reliability in the family at the moment, i pressed the coupe into a 100 mile commute.

observations;

- just how bl**dy sh*te are the standard headlights at 6am?! i could not beleive it, turned them off a couple of times to ensure they were on!

- how much does a "normal" person watch the oil pressure gauge in traffic - i could not take my eyes off of mine, it sat pretty much a 3bar under load, 2.5/2bar hot idle - though did flutter down to 1.5 at one point - is this anything to worry about?

- yes the mirrors and turning circle are a massive hindrance and surprise to reacquaint with after a period of driving other cars.

- no window can be passed without a sneaky sideways glance of true poetry in motion :-)

anyone got any other observations / thoughts....

Headlamp bulbs can and should be upgraded, some people retrofit HIDs.

Oil pressure is nothing to worry about in my opinion. So long as its at 3 bar once at 2,000 rpm.

Most importantly did you enjoy the noise when you pressed on?

Just wait till you pass a polished articulated tanker love
I passed several on the way to and from Spa, just had to sneak a peek.

It stretches and squashes the Coupe into an even more alluring shape wink

Hell yeah. I have to be careful when looking sideways in shop windows....

The NA coupe is a very capable daily driver. Turning circle is better too. Still get oil pressure paranoia though.

I find the standard lights to be ok. Not brilliant, but seem fine. I've had more modern cars with worse ones.
