Must have been a rush though....
But very naughty and dangerous.

listening to the in car footage he sounds like a complete bell end.
His other half seems quite upset... not to mention the fact that he would have ruined it for lots of other people interupting the race.
Coupe now sold!

Not good, this will have knock on consequences for many of us who enjoy racing, maybe even trackdays. Pistonheads reaction

Perhaps the driving test could include basic literacy..... Hold on. That would exclude half the UK population.... Making the roads quieter for me to drive on... Now, where's my quill and headed paper. I'll suggest this idea to my MP.

We can just hope darwinism strikes before this idiot kills someone else whilst living as if it is his last day.

As I've said in the past I only make observations. I observe there is something far wrong here. Whether through inter breading as previously suggested, or just a young male pleasing himself because it seems a good idea at the time & hell, no big deal 'cause I can do it *innit* The decision is yours
I'm an old git & happy with it,most of the time

though the thought of the collateral damage concerns me. As Dave has suggested above the knock on effect will surely effect track days and there expense to cater for an increase in staff to monitor for such idiots. It's utterly amazing this has happened, and the fact this scrote isn't bothered by his public display and statement just proves he should be made an example off.

If some Film/TV programme, a comedy celeb or Clarkson and his posse had done this - we would be pissing ourselves laughing at it and the incompetence of those running the place.
Regardless of whether the guy is an idiot, inbred, from Essex or not, and apart from the girls obvious distress - I think it was quite funny and showed what plonkers the Brands Hatch organisers are. That a public car can drive onto the Pit Lane without being challenged is bad enough. Then to drive onto the track just showed the circuit staff to be bunch of amateurs.

Had that been a TV stunt, it would have been carefully scripted and rehearsed, with everyone on the track knowing what was going on. Even on Top Gear. You're quite right in that Brands Hatch need to ask some questions - at the very least there should have been some mechanical barrier - but this is not their fault; it's the reckless behaviour of an idiot who 'lives every day as if it's his last' without regard for any other member of society.

Maybe he next day should be his last, what a tosser. Just glad he didn't do it during a faster race, could you imagine steaming down the straight and finding a polo doing 100 mph+ less than you on the racing line?

Even on Top Gear Exactly! and that's why it's truly funny because it isn't scripted. He's actually doing for real what Top Gear and others pretend to be doing and which far more intelligent people as well as idiots like himself find hilarious and believe to be real.

I organise Motor Racing as my day job and this could have easily happened at one of my events (we were at Brands 3 weeks ago). During these events the meeting is run by the organising club, in this case the BRSCC, NOT by the circuit. The clubs are run for their racing members, have very few paid staff but do have an army of superb volunteers. The Funcup and many other club races are multi driver, pit stop races, so to install a gate or some other form of restriction at the end of the pit lane isn't realistic. Would you have expected a Marshal to jump in front of the car to stop it?! You can't always allow for individuals stupidity; if the next stunt happens to be a member of the crowd streaking across the track having climbed the safety fencing (which can't be barbed or razor for obvious reasons) would you also hold the organising club responsible? It's another case of blame culture when it's someone else who is responsible; no, just three people were to blame for their actions. This will probably cause more pain for club racing, increasing red tape and costs for all involved. Lego, you are very welcome to be my guest at a future race meeting and you'll see the difficulties involved in the pit lane, plus you'll leave with a smile on your face without feeling the need to do something daft (I hope) Take a look at the calendar and I'll send you some tickets CSCC Dave

Jesus christ, poor girl. I hope her dad catches up with the lad
That could have ended in absolute disaster, luckily it didn't
I think organisers need to take a good look at security measures here but then again as said you just can't plan for complete human stupidity!

This is sad as I've done years off club racing all different levels. The clubs can only do so much as Dave said most don't get paid.
Bloodily idiots like them cause so many problems on and off the track.
The club should take them court if they can afford it.
Now there is video evidence lol. Unlucky for them.
