Anybody catch the first of a new series called "For the Love of Cars"?
First episode involved a full restoration of a Ford Mexico.
It was a really entertaining programme and hopefully bodes well for the rest of the series....even the wife enjoyed watching as her parents had a Escort Mk1 back in the day.

Yes it was really good, worth 4-OD'ing it on internet if anyone missed it.

I enjoyed it, but was hoping to see the restoration process in a little more detail - although im sure that's not what a mainstream audience wants.

looks like Channel 4 need to promote the series better?
Next week is an original Land Rover followed later by a Mini Cooper.
As I let my Almond Green Cooper go to someone else to restore for historic rallying, no doubt it will make difficult watching!

It was a good watch, and along with Fargo following it. Channel four has my Sunday evening TV sorted for the foreseeable future cool!

Watching for the first time this evening. Not a bad watch. As said though would be nice to see more of the actual restoration of it.

Enjoying the LR episode tonight.
My lad wants a Defender TD5 and you can see the appeal.

At the same time last night on National Geographic channel Car SOS was also restoring a Mark 1 Land Rover. It will be repeated often during the week.

16VT and X1/9 1500

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

If it wasn't for my mums Land Rover which is a 1949 series 1 80" I would not be able to own and maintain a fiat coupe. I cut my mechanical teeth on it,the biggest job being doing the big ends. So easy to work on compared to the coupe. Like he said in the show it really is like a big Meccano set.
