I have just bought a 6 month old Forge recirc valve and it has arrived with what looks like brake cleaner/oil inside?
Should they have oil in them?

It will probably be due to the oil vapour being recirculated through the boost pipes. Nothing to worry about.

There should be a tiny amount of oil

My guess is that its come off a car with a serious engine problem.

You should clean it out and use a little bit of clean engine oil when re-assembling, simply to lubricate the piston in the DV body

Thanks Nigel.

The weekend job list is growing...

Clean and fit DV
Replace MAF
Prep Zender grill for paint
Finish flatting my LE kit and standard wheels
Fit private plates

Don't know how much of this will get done though! laugh
