OK we are all booked - Me, Trish & Adam too.

Trish and I plan to take a ferry earlier in the week then take an easy drive down, stopping over a few times and probably arriving at the Hotel in Turin on Thursday.

Adam is flying to Turin, probably Thursday or Friday.

After the event we are looking to rent somewhere, either on the coast, the lakes or Alps and stay down there for another week, or two. Got some great quotes back on places already, we are spoilt for choice..

We're planning the same but have not yet formalised anything, other than arriving in Turin on Friday morning.

Has anyone thought of having car rally numbers for the trip ? Bit like Gumball or something.

I looked on line and you can get stickers for a few quid a pop.

We could use our event registration numbers (I am #41) and even have the FCCUK logo and GB included. I don't mind organising a group buy.

Decals

Could do the rally style with your name and national flag on the windows. See the link.

I could inquire about an event specific decal like the one they have for the Le Mans 24.

Something like "Turin 2014, 20 years of the Fiat Coupe " surrounded by the FCCUK logo instead of the Le Mans track.

Perhaps some kind of personalised RALLY PLATE too?

I think it will be at Turin.

As for the club doing stickers, with the small numbers taking part I fear it would prove a very expensive sticker. It isn't the materials cost, more the time setting machines up for a short run, but I will talk to the company who we use.

I expect we'll only get a max of 20 cars going, but I'm happy to pay a reasonable amount. I've seen websites which quote about £10 for a simple set... which isn't too bad.

Minimum order is 60 - but that is only £12 each between 14 of us... and if we have 4 each - then you could keep one for memorabilia and stick the rest on the car !??

Anyway, Pete is looking into whether we can get the Club's local sticker place to do some.

A flight plan is gradually evolving, in Barnacle's secret underground lair...

• Sat 24th - Hemel to Munich (ish), one long drag through Germany
• Sun 25th - Munich to Brescia via Austria and the Brenner Pass
• 5 nights in Brescia with room to explore the lakes, the mountains, Brescia itself and Milan
• Friday 30th - Brescia to Turin for the event itself
• Monday 2nd - Turin to Pisa (or thereabouts)
• Saturday 7th - reverse the downhill journey, but probably stopping to overnight somewhere around Frankfurt
• Sunday 8th - back home

All subject to change, of course, and nothing is yet booked... but the car should have an MOT next week so that's a start.
