Been having terrible condensation inside recently with all this wet weather. Mostly coming in through the boot rolleyes

Did the 'wire in the seal' trick last year but condensation is back!

However after some fun with some Vaseline (?) I think the key part is the little 'lip' on the top part of the seal under the rear window!

After a good rub managed to get it to sit up (rather than be squashed flat against main seal) and bingo no more condensation!!

It seems water is running onto underside of lid and been 'getting over' the top part causing dampness inside boot and on rear window!!!

Fingers crossed as it's great getting into a clear car!!! wink

inky goodness!!

As per the other threads on this - thats exactly whats happening in my car. I 'upgraded' my seal but the upper lid is getting very wet. I've removed the inside lid liner as it was getting mouldy to dry/clean. Will try the Vaseline though I've also just bought some of this to slide over the lower window seal/strip - will let you know results....

ebay rubber!
