Do someone have experience with this brand?

Go with a proven brand like Cunningham or Pauter. Yes, it's more expensive, but would you trust an unproven product to keep your engine together?

of course i was asking if someone has used this rods before
i'm not on a tight budget but i tried some years ago
a set from Bulgaria and with my surprise the difference
in weight was around + or - 1gr and was fully balanced
i think that was good enough for a stock engine

i knew the Pauter rods ,probably the more expensive on the market
at my knowledge, thanks for the advice Begbie wink

On another forum I frequent members have used both arrow and max speeding rods (I believe the same as techno5 and others). Have said they found no difference in quality.

Well, I ordered a set that were pretty identical to the above and gave them to Guy Croft. Needless to say, I got a refund on them. The big end was oval and had worse clearances than a standard used rod.

That sounds like a very subjective test. There is a huge difference between top manufacturers like Arrow and "other" makes but for fast road car engines like ours we will never see why.

Alarm bells ring when manufactures sell new parts on ebay?

greatest difference between low end and High end rods is raw material, heat threatment and final quality check... so we can call it "Know How"

Nowadays can everybody with good machinery produce "performance" rods which can be also good in dimensional site... however the "know how" of the "right material, heath threatmentand and further tricks "how to produce High end rod" is still missing

Here in czech we have two manufacturers of High end rods -which are both wery close to me and I know their production process wery well.....and few others which offers the same products for 1/2-1/3 (usually only the cost for raw material + machining) of High end price

If I ask them whether its possible to produce set of rods somehow cheaper I get an answer that yes, but the mechanical strenght and service life will be sinificantly lower even than with standart rod...

TurboJ has mentioned important fact.."for fast road car engines like ours we will never see why"

...if you try them to use in last 2000 rpm (eg 6-8000)all day you will see wery quickly "Why"

For the life of me I can't remember, but GC did stick a dial in to measure diameter and it was just wrong. He got a used standard rod and showed me the difference.

Also, the rods were tested for Rockwell hardness and it was too hard for what GC recommends.

At least you had someone look over them first, most people dont. GC is recognised and reputable so no worries there. I wouldnt trust most garages to do the same tests or measurements.

Ive seen reputable makes of aftermarket rods (for classic minis) be out of round and had to be sent back. At first they didnt want to concede - I guess that most people fit and forget.

When it comes to engine parts i measure everything, whether new of after it has come back from the machine shop. Most people dont comprehend that even a thou can make a difference.

When it comes to engineering and tolerances, the power is all about the sum of the parts. Good tolerances across all components unleashes power and provides reliability.

This is why I want to cry when I see people changing shells under the car at the roadside.

Few years ago I ordered cheap forged rods from Ebax for a 2.4l engine. The dimensions were significantly better than these from my Cunningham rods, wheight tolerance was within 0.5g and hardness measurement was in a similar range like the Cunningham.
All measurements were done with very very expensive measurement machines - I did not measure trash.
I think the problem is that meanwhile Chinese have very new and good CNC machines as well and good material. But the price for the worker is much cheaper than an European one frown
I assembled these rods into my replacement engine. Big advantage of these cheaper rods was that these rods are thicker at the small end so that the cppistons fit almost perfectly and cannot move at the piston pin. Unfortunately this engine has not been running so far to test them, it is my replacement engine.
