Although I vaguely watch the TT every year (in a "if I see if when I'm flicking through the channels I'll stick it on" sort of way), but this year I've been following it closely because a friend of mine is racing in it.
His name's Neal Champion, and as he's been at the back of the field for his three races so far (Superbike on Sunday, Supersport and Superstock yesterday) so you won't have heard of him.
However, having ridden with 'Champ' on the road, and seen him circuit racing I know what an incredibly fast rider he is and given that he's lapping at an average speed roughly 15mph below the top riders makes you appreciate just how awesome they really are.
Anyway, he's in action again tomorrow in race 2 of the Supersports class and, while I wish him all the best, I'm secretly hoping for a win from Guy Martin, although Michael Dunlop seems unbeatable this year.
Anybody else watching/listening?

Highlights are on ITV4 at 9pm every night this week. You can also stream commentary live from Manx Radio - although not today, as there isn't any racing.

If anybody's interested, Neal's racing blog is a good read and gives you a view of the TT from somebody who, 50 weeks of the year, has a real job.

Oh please let someone else win the supersport tomorrow . Gary Johnson might have won the superstock except for the oil leak . I reckon he will make a bit on his ZX10R after buying the bike himself off Kawasaki and finsihing second .I hope Dunlop slows down for his sake as i think hes pushing too hard this year and could come off which i dont want it to happen to any of the riders .

As I said, I'm hoping for a win for Guy Martin - he seems like a genuinely nice bloke and he hasn't had the best of luck, but I wouldn't bet again Dunlop. My friend has wangled himself a ride in the zero emissions class tomorrow morning, so it will be interesting to see how he does. Not as well as McGuinness I'll wager
