Had a bad experience with them, did a deal over bad phone line thought I had given them all info when taking out insurance, noticed i needed to amend, i thought i had 1years no claim bonus but i didnt,so they upped cover by £200 so I cancelled then they charged me £70 for privilege, all within one day.

Not good PR.

I started off with them, then the second year they upped the premium by nearly £300 so went with Neil Willies.

Whilst my Adrian Flux renewal premium did not increase by hundred's, it certainly was not competitive and I went elsewhere.

Unless an insurance company does something to *really* annoy me, I'll happily reconsider them another year even if I don't renew one year. This year I'm back with Flux after being with Neil Willies for 2 years, having been with Flux before that. The important thing is to shop around EVERY year and get 'new/returning' customer discounts since simply renewing and expecting to get your loyalty rewarded doesn't happen IMHO. I've also started being a bit ruthless at renewal time by not offering current insurers a chance to match or beat another quote: if they want my continuing business then they need to give the absolute best renewal price with no faffing around. Simples.

I agree that at renewal time insurer's shouldn't be given a second chance on the renewal premium they offer!
Besides when I told them my alternative quote premium, their "price promise" went out the window!

I totaly understand and appreciate what people are saying but premium is NOT everything.

The only way these cars are going to be saved from the scrap heaps and live long enough to become genuine classics is by making sure you have them insured on the correct basis.

All I am saying is that sometimes it is better to pay a little more premium to know you have the peace of mind that you have the additional benefits of Agreed Value, Salvage Retention, Repairs at a garage of your own choice etc. What good is any policy if your pride and joy is written off for a damaged door or bonnet because the bottom has fell out of the re-sale market, the costs of repairs are 60% or higher of the market value and you can't even buy it back to put back on the road or even for spares cause the insurers won't let you.

Regardless of who the insurers are, you should all be thinking about asking if these covers are provided and be reading this as a policy cover.

Just bear it in mind when comparing policies and premiums smile
