The coupe now has:
Bilstein B6 at front
Eibachs all round
New wishbones, droplinks and top mounts
New Toyo T1Rs all round (chickened out of R1Rs due to concerns about using them in low temps/rain)
White line 22mm rear ARB
Carbotech XP8 pads

Now for the rear shocks. My choice is either Bilstein B6 or KYB Ultra SR (or maybe gas adjust)

With a front wheel drive car, I am thinking the more heavily damped KYB ultras may help traction and reduce under steer?
I have used the search facility and it would appear a few others have used this combination in the past and have said it worked.
If you have experience of this combination please let me know what you think.

Good choice, the KYB are supposed to be a little bit too firm.

It should feel like a new car once it's all in. Don't forget a good wheel alignment.

I'd agree. I had the KYB Ultra SR and although the handling inspired confidence at almost any speed, I dreaded potholes. Even painted road markings were noticeable.

My local garage that has done the refresh has 4 wheel alignment (not that it will do much good on the coupe), they are total perfectionists, he tracks it then drives down the road, then comes back and adjusts it and then goes off again. In his words, "With a car like this, you want it handling right". It took him 50 minutes but it's perfect.

The best mod is definitely the Whiteline 22mm rear ARB, it's made a huge difference when cornering. The front B6 shocks are much more compliant than the OE ones, but feel quite "progressive" in their damping. which has shown me that the rears need that consistency of damping.
