I had a very lucky escape in France back in 2005, hitting a dear at night on a straight road. It was a pretty large deer and we had been travelling at some speed, but I just managed to see it in the lights at the side and hit the brakes. the deer crossed the road at an angle going roughly in the same direction as we were, which meant that although we hit quite hard, I got away with - Smashed Grille Dents on the bonnet front edge and side 3 very surprised passengers! We had only just gone past a sign warning about deer as well. Considered ourselves very lucky at the time. Paul W.
