Hi guys and gals I was just wondering what special plans or New Years resolutions you have for 2013? Have any of you got something really different your determined to do this year?

Mines the same old thing shift a few pounds from my midriff new job and to get that wedding ring on porky's finger this year

My resolution is to sleep with porkypauls mrs.
Failing that Proccy will do.

I don't think Lezza will sleep with Proccy.....

Jeez imagine being a fly on the wall during that.

Today would be the best time to trap him Johnny He is very weak today !!

For Gill and i our plan is to do more travelling this year.
Asia and north America.

Sounds great, I would really like to go to Italy for food and culture, Africa for the wildlife and the alps to ski and just have fun.

Apparently im getting married this year..
Make more money than ever being more brutal and less kind.
Finish the house work that's required.
Get under 15 stone..
Do a skydive that requires me to be under 15 stone.
Complete my mechanical HNC

Already sort of stopped biting my nails, have stopped smoking, I'll never stop swearing, so, just the weight loss for me this year.

I say weight loss every year, but this year is for definate

To loose weight and PB at 10, 25 and 50 miles on a bike.

1/ I want/need to lose weight

2/ Get the Plus stable and running properly

3/ Avoid/delete late-night pervy texts from JBT - that guy has some serious issues

My favourite so far is coupedummy's skydive.... Very brave

1. Establish what my head weighs
2. Find out what those yellow plastic pointy things really are for
3. Spend less time on here
4. Identify and undertake a (for me) novel sporting challenge - paddled a fair bit of the Thames and did a few cycle rides last year. Want to do something beyond this.

Easy way to do this, grab a water receptor, fill it right to the top. Stick head in it (dont swallow water) excess water is now sloshed out the side of bucket to make way for the mass of your head.
Remove head and measure how much water it makes to fill bucket back up. Convert water measurement to weight.

This weight is an approximation of how much your head ways as all things considered water and combined brain/space/skull are about the same weight unit for unit

Yeah I'm sure there's an easier way

Mine:

1) Go to bed earlier. (been doing 4 to 5 hours sleep for the last two years)

2) Watch less television (main reason for staying up late is due to starting work on pictures about 10:00 - 11:00 o clock)

3) <ahem> secure more wedding bookings

4) make my new venture successful(a little shop-front/concession to showcase my photography)

5) lose some weight

6) work harder longer faster

You know Sam when I met you guys I had literally no idea that you were such a fountain of knowledge


I've already started - both my parents were serial hoarders and the last few days I've been attacking and destroying their cache of correspondence:
1. my letters to them from school
2. letters between my ma and pa
3. my dad's work correspondence dating back to .....1935

Did come across some unknown-about photos though from the early '60's.

I never want to leave all this type of hassle for my kids.

Some of thet stuff is history though. A 1935 letter could be quite interesting and some of the correspondence between your parent could be interesting too. Family history. I think I'd scan a couple of them before getting rid. (well actually I'd probably just keep em :))

Is it still a 'typo' if it's an OCR mistranscription? I've been looking for a good word for that for a couple of years...
