i went to look at number 127 in silver the 1 that is on ebay being that it was local so after many conversations on the phone with seller and talking about the car and whats been changed and done to it i went and viewed the car he already told me he would go no lower than £2300 so i thought i will give it a chance anyway and take a look

on pulling up at the house before i even got on the drive things didnt look good totally diferent to what the photos showed and how he described the car

im very well into detailing cars and paint correction and could see before i even got near the car it didnt look good,passenger door lighter shades of silver sprayed in patches with a dull finish to the whole door as well as alot of ripples,passenger quarter ripples and poor repairs leaving sanding marks to where its been filled,fuel cap badly blistered,drivers side lots of kinks in door and panels with dull finish,complete roof resprayed poorly, every window wiper falling apart,every arch rusted and blistered,every wheel badly blistered and scratched,engine badly corroded every where so didnt bother looking to much, then rev the car and as the forge dv opened it sounded from the turbo a clutch slipping sound.

interior ripped and very dirty

it wasnt a very good experience at the first coupe i looked at but message is really dont waste your time going to look at this car it really is in shocking condition and wouldnt even value it over £900

no link to the add so no good to anyone !

Saw it on ebay yesterday - thought £2k was worth a look, but quickly realised it wasn't worth anywhere near the asking price.

yes thats the one nigel picture look ok but i couldnt believe how bad it was i know you have to expect were and tear but this car was beyond that

Shame, but the lack of effort in the advertising would raise concerns, but definitely worth viewing to rule in/out on pics alone.

No worries mate, keep searching and one will turn up. Keep an eye of the sale section here as will likely be a known and well kept coupe.

im not sure if its me expecting to much from a car of this age or you can really get a decent clean coupe

sheep sent me some pictures of his wine red coupe which looks very clean inside and out

coupedummy if your ever out and about would be nice to have a look at yours just to see what sort of condition to expect

tbh, what can you expect for 2k? not much

ok, id expect the paintwork to be original-ish looking and not necessarily a patchwork but also expect some imperfections.

on the flip side, there is a ceiling for these cars, i expect given the maintenance cost and fuel cost, so you can still pick something really nice up for a couple of grand....

That's been sitting down my misses parents road for as long as I've known her. I've never seen it move until recently when it disappeared from the drive. Did you see it on the drive where the photos were taken?

he said he had a work van and wasnt used no more and been parked up for about 3 months which you could see clearly that it was longer than that by the green moss all round the windscreen and jew all over it and badly rusted.

he said it was at his nephews so turned up at house so knocked on door and chap said hes just took it to another house so drove to the other house where the owner was but this also wasnt his house but a friends which didnt look good

i knew straight away before i walked on the drive it was in bad shape

photos was taking from a different house to the houses i turned up at, car was at wood avenue then took to linthouse lane you can even see it on google maps from above sitting on the grass on linthouse lane opposite the garage

Sure mate, mines probably not a fab example these days as im not exactly the car cleaning type. Why not get a few local bodies so you can see the differences in coupes. Mayzons coupe is lovely to be fair and sure theres a few more locally you can poke around.

Actually come along to a meet, theres one at the start of feb(if you can wait that long) airplane graveyard. Should be a laugh and there should be if they all turn up a huge range of coupes.
