Im after a clutch and i want zero judder.
Do the Helix Organic give no judder at all once bedded in? Im interested from fellow helix owners - especially those who drive around the city.

Are there any other options of clutches for around the 300-350 bhp area?

Cheers

Mario

What torque output are you looking at running Mario?

I've run the helix organic with around 320-330ft/lbs with no issues.

Also, why the Owl?

The Helix organic can judder, but generally ok. Need to ensure the flywheel is true or skim if required, and then bed in accordingly.

How about JBT's 6 paddle clutch? I believe that's what I got in my 20VT and it is fine no problems with judder.

You need to grow some muscles dude.

They do settle down but you will always have abit of judder form time to time. Mine on my LE was really bad at the start but then it's spot on after a few laps at curbourgh.

My Helix organic is the most juddery I've had (had three or four over the years)

I guess I need to abuse it a bit to bed it in, but at the moment it's not pleasant trying to trickle along in traffic. 1500+ rpm stops the judder, but I feel like a bit of a prat dialling in 2000rpm to move a car length

Are you coming to London at all? If you are in town by Tues or after 2nd week in Jan you can take my car for a spin to check how JBT's clutch behaves. wink

Just PM me if you want to.

Check with Barbz, his organic clutch is similar to Helix but around half-price. Mine's been judder-free for 20000km's but has started to a wee bit now.

My CG 6 paddle was the worst.

But a fave it some serious sh*t and it works lovely now!

I get a small amout of judder in reverse and some times in stop start traffic but 9/10 it's fine!!

Im going to go for a Barbz organic I think.
The helix is just too expensive.
Will report back on how it is.

THanks all for your advice.

Mine came with a 4 paddle fitted by the previous owner, and it's frankly embarrassing in slow traffic/car parks - 2000+ rpm or kangarooing like crazy - far too much of the wrong attention. And don't even mention hill starts! Flooring it so as not to stall and then tons of wheel spin when it bites if you aren't quite ready to catch it. I had decided that a 6 paddle might be the cure, but now it appears that the Barbz organic is the way forward..

id go for a helix organic to be honest with your power level and as nigel has proven its more than capable.

I had the CG 6 paddle as well. Bites very well but too impractical for everyday driving IMO.
