Just wondering what effect higher miles, i.e 100k+ will have on the coops power output.
Basically only want a standard or minimally modded coop, so would like to get as near 2 the quoted 225bhp as possible. I know that over time engines can loose some of the power, is this general, or just where servicing has been overlooked etc etc??

all engines vary tbh, but as long as the cams and rings / bores aren't excessively worn then the higher mileage cars still make good power, maybe more with a nicely loosened engine.
Regular oil chaanges & keeing the oil topped-up are most important in keeping your engine in good health as the miles roll by...

When i first brought my coop it had 244bhp with no mods. I remember this being talked about on the old forum about people with higher than 220bhp standard.

I would get compression test done on the engine at the very least, you can also have 'leak down' test performed, though I am not sure what this entails.
