Got a quote today for 2 toyo t1rs in 17inch fitted.

Price - 118.99 Seems very good! Am I right?

Well I'll have 2 at that price - who's doing them?

EDIT; as a comparison, I pay £108 fitted for two 215/40/17 Nankangs.

I got it through Brittannia but I have a feeling hes done me a good deal as hes manager and did say he would sort me out from last time

I think you'll find that the quote of £118 is per tyre

That is roughly what I was quoted when I was looking around recently. I ended up paying £103 each from Malvern Tyres, but if I hadn't been in such a hurry, I could have got them for £75 each from Camskill, and then paid £20 to have them fitted

Today i handed over £235 for 2 Toyo Proxies T1R's - i would have been happy with Falken 452's or Khumo ecstas but BOTH were quite a bit more expensive. And don't ask how much the Continental Contact2's were

No I double checked..he said "thats for 2" sooooo

If he's a proper tyre fitter/supplier I don't understand why he's knocking them out at a massive loss - I actually heard the guy I go to on the phone to his supplier and heard the prices first hand. Doesn't make any sense to me at all unless they're out of date, aren't T1r's or are faulty in some way

Cant see all that being true! All I did was ask for a quote and that was what he gave me for full fitting and balancing. Simples

I better get back down there quick! I did double check it was for 2 but I det you he read it wrong but he should know his stuff being a long standing manager etc

Hope you get them at that price, if he does let you have them you should buy all he can get at those prices and make a proper killing - you'd make around £65 per tyre

Agreed - if he can genuinely get them at that price, you have a moral duty to set up a group buy
