Just renewed my policy with Noel Dazely and on my insurance details they sent me in the post there is no mention of my mods anywhere.

I ring them up and talk to them about and they tell me that there is nowhere that they can put it on the papers they have sent me, but its all in my file in their office and its all under control. Then she said, "ok, bye"

Has made me a little worried..........should I be?

Get it in writing. Email them and ask the same questions. (or ring again and ask them to email you back)

Then if the shit does hit the fan you've got proof that you were assured you were covered. Also (and i'm just guessing now) but if something did go wrong and they refused to cover you, you could sue them for selling you a product under false pretences and that was not fit for purpose?

Hi

As a fellow insurance broker I can fully understand how Noel Dazeley say that they cannot note your modifications on the actual policy as in most cases these are a genetic document that cannot be altered in any way.

But they can and should be able to put in writing to you a list of the modifications they have noted against your car either as a letter or as an email and if they will not do this then personally I would be a little concerned.

Alternatively, contact the actual insurers directly and ask them if they will do this for you as Noel Dazeley are refusing to.

Regards
