Although I didn't post earlier, my old Sprinty (which I gave to Ms RK's little girl) was hit by a drunk driver while parked outside my house. Damage included a badly dented driver's door, front wing and a slight dent to the bonnet. Pre damage condition good but far from perfect, 68000 miles, R reg.

Quote for repairs was £1700. The repair has been authorised shocked , and the car is currently being done. I'd already told her to expect a right off and look to buying the salvage. As it happens Sheilas Wheels decided it was worth saving, so no trawling for second hand parts.

Car still isn't worth £1700 though.

Yeah my old R reg greenie was repaired to the tune of over £2k twice in the space of 12 months!! I susect if it's the other party's fault they don't mind, but if it's coming out of their pockets it'd be a different story rolleyes

Good point, I hadn't thought of that.

Needless to say I've told her she's getting nothing else off me, as she doesn't look after it smile

This suggests that an awful lot of accidents which coupe owners are involved in are either knock for knock or the coupe driver's fault...
