hi i've just gone out and bought a 1996 coupe 20v turbo thats done 90k. The missus hates me now but it's so worth it. i'm in love with it!
car itself was in great condition - loads of history including receipts for the big belt changes. The only issue is the brakes. The previous owner changed them himself and they are fairly noisy when braking. also noticed they are grinding (more so when im turning right?)
going to take it to my local garage and get the brakes and disks checked over.
being a newbie i wanted some advice on the do's and dont's when having a coupe. i understand that oil is a biggie and that it uses a lot.
im worried that the clutch could be the next big thing to go. fingers crossed it won't. apparently the head gasket is pretty good on these cars.
any advise at all would be great especially because winter is coming up
thanks

Also welcome from me, they are great cars when things are going well but there are so many things you need to be aware of. I hope you get years of enjoyment from it.
I always recommend spending £15 to join the club as it gives you access to LOADS of info, discounts, and the wider world of club membership and it's benefits. It also helps run this fantastic community
