An excerpt from a book has been brought to my attention in which a man's Coupe is destroyed by an imaginary lion belonging to a vengeful ex-girlfriend or something like that.

The book is called 'Advice for Strays' by Justine Kilkerr. A somewhat abridged version of the excerpt is as follows:

'From the way her nose was crinkled up I'd say the idea had something to with Will's car. Will's red Fiat Coupe which he loves more than life itself'
"He loves that bloody car more than life itself, wouldn't you say?"
"Well yes, I could say that, yes."
'It's a beast of a car with a throaty warble at rest and a roar to put the most ferocious jungle cat to shame when it's revved up. His baby, his dearest love. I'm not sure I want to know the shape and colour of this idea.'
'The car was once red. It is Will's and it is lying on the pitted tarmac like road kill. The tyres have been slashed and deflated, all four of them. The skirts have been wrenched free from the main body of the car and lie splayed like broken ribs. All the glass is shattered. The driver's side door has been peeled open and one of the wing mirrors dangles like a gouged eyeball. The roof is deeply dented. It looks like a huge weight has dropped on it from a considerable height. Smaller dents and gouges run the length of the body of the battered machine. A dark and pungent liquid pools underneath and spills, slowly, towards the group of people who have gathered to stare.'

Clearly this author must know someone who owns a coupe, or could just be describing any speed pink Coupe which has been parked more than once in Tesco car park...

Quite strange anyways.

James

CHOD went? Hasn't had the coolant done as often as he should by the sound of it.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned (that happens to own an imaginary BIG cat that dislikes 90's Italian Coupés)

Coopless!
