Rudidudi OP My life on the forum Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 1,670 SW London	I'm taxing my coupe and not sure whether to go for 6 or 12 months. It has been in the garage for a few months resting and will come out and play for the summer, but i was wondering how many of you have the coup for a summer car or a second car... i have a diesel clio, the wife's car and a mini at my disposal so the use will be purely fun, not necessity. so do i go for 6 or 12 months tax huh?

I also do not want to pay the 10% or so extra that the government charges for 2 lots of 6 months tax. 16VT and X1/9 1500 We must all do our part for the planet. I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

It is actually a lot more than 10%. The extra may be about 10% but that relates to a 6 month period. It actually works out at something like a 30% APR if you tax for 6 months rather than 12. Nice to see the government using interest rates which they criticise credit card companies for!! Andy
