Whats the difference between the 2 different black colours? I can't seem to see the difference in pics. Talking about 20vt here.

Anyone helP with an explanation and pics to explain this to me?

Cheers

Ross

You've got the solid black of the LE (Is it called Nero?), and Ink black for the others, which looks black most of the time, but in certain lights is more a dark Navy colour.

Coopless!

Actually now you've said that, looking at pics of lukes car again, you cAn see the blue through the black quite clearly.

Quite like it. Probably more than the other black.

Mine's Ink Black and on overcast days it looks very dark blue, on bright days it looks black and when the sun is shining it looks a very metallic dark blue.

As for the solid black I think it is flat black. I think a metallic black would look good on a coupe.

I once was told that my ink black car was "starry sky colour", and think of it it kind of describes quite well the effect wink

Yep I'm a nero and most others are Ink.
Interestingly enough there are 7 different variations on the OE paint parts catalogue for the ink black but yet all share the same paint code.

Had both ink black and le black prefer LE solid black but both nice when clean.
Which is a nightmare keeping black clean.

Very true, the ink black when filthy never looks dirty as such. It just looks a shade off like a horrid dull flat blue.
But when pristine clean it looks amazing!!!

but your first black Le pic in particular looks enhanced on the contrast compared to the inky wink

not saying the black isn't nicer. Just to show inky with similar pic,
ink black

That's sorted it for me!!

Ink black can look just as nice, but depends on paint condition and how shiny it is!!

Put them next to each other Ross and given the same amount of polish, the true black looks much much nicer!

It's also much dearer for an LE. Lol.

Jintels is nice but outta my budget. Plus it needs a cambelt.

I must admit an Ink black has to be highly polished otherwise looks flat, eg mine has a fine layer of dust and it looks a tad dull. When polished though I (just) prefer it as for me it has more depth, if that makes sense.
I think black initially has more shine and although needing regular cleaning will look better for longer.

Meh, buy a vinci grey and it always looks dull, the one day of sunshine we get in the UK is the only day I like it!
