Well, Admiral have quoted me happy.

Last year £1550 - £400 Excess (cheapest I could find at the time)

I was dreading the ridiculous price hike to come, tentatively opened the letter, barely daring to read it and:
£1080 - £250 Excess

So a nice £40 ish saving on my monthly outgoings (or 14 pints in real money)

I know it's still a lot, but it's the second cheapest car insurance I have ever had (cheapest was on the MX-5 - £650)

Admiral seem to be fairly good if you pay up front. Always give me the cheapest quote. Direct line on the other hand hiked my qute on a 2.5 mondeo from £500 to £800 because "my area had become bad for crime" - 2 months later I moved to another area and they upped my premium by another £200 saying "you must have gone from a low crime area to a high crime area". Ridiculous.

Now I'm paying just slightly more on my 20vT with admiral than I was on the 2.5 mondeo with direct line.
