thanks taz i have pics of the one off clutch helix have developed in conjunction with barbz(not one off any more as its available through barbz) which they have rated to 530lbsft its a twin plate with the maximum surface area possible to fit in that box they even had to manufacture a super slim release bearing from scratch so i have done my bit for furthering the cause!
theres a few other pics of the motor being assembled so i'll send them to taz to put up for those interested..for all those that asked for pics and all that have been pm'ing and wishing me well ..thanks for your support i am sorry i have had to do it this way rather than individually but i am still too thick to work out the photo thing!

oh and zonta we are working on it!

Get the tracking done on it when it's done, the LE was 20mm out until I had it corrected. Yes, that's not a typo! Steering wheel is straight now. laugh

Looking nice, alot of small bends though, must have taken alot of work to figure that out. Is there no more room in the 20v turbo bay for some length and larger id/od pipes?
Or is the ex.wastegate combination causing problems.

Good luck and all the best for 2011!

Tuners don't like them, You can't listen for Det over the bloody row they make, Plus they sound shit for no real advantage.

What material have you used, wall thickness / ID etc. ? Homemade collector or bought ready-made ?

Huge amount of work and outlay..

Maybe this will pave the way into 2011 for something new as far as engine developments are concerned.

+1 for new clutch design

A big hand for sticking to it

Hope she gets better soon Rob,give her my regards.

And you best get her to book a bed at hospital in advance,as she WILL find out and you know it.
They always do.

stop it john your freaking me out! i have to believe she wont or i am stuck and unable to continue ! but you are right about me neededing a bed booked if she does..good job she switches off if i go on the forum! but thanks for your good wishes she is very poorly and has been in an induced coma for 3 days now i can't stay for more than a couple of minutes it's upsetting to see all the lines they have sown in her neck and everywhere else for that matter..the kids have no idea and think they can't visit as the hospital is full of swine flu..if they saw her it would really traumatise them..anyway she is a tough old girl and will get better soon...

the turbo is quite big yes funny thing is we were only syaing yesterday that for some reason the photo angles have not picked up its scale as it looks even bigger in the flesh
its an american company precision concepts i think it is they do a lot of street racing type stuff..its an air cooled job with billet internals ...it is a hell of a thing on some of the stroker kitted cars its been touching 650/680 but spools quicker than the gt 3076..there are comparisons we found where people have had 500+ with 3076/82 then swapped turbo and nothing else and made over 100bhp gains quicker spool and quicker response and thats not the full story as they all say its better everywhere in everyway driving wise so we are hoping for good things...i actually made a descision to go with the .82 housing instead of .63 as i don't want it to spool too quick with so much power and torque if it comes too soon we will end up trying to dial it all out which would be a waste..
anyway sending more pics later
