Has anyone ever tried these tyres before just read a few reviews and they said there are fairly good what do you guys recon for a tyre costing 60-70 quid ?

you can get the better nexen 6000 for 50 quid on a 17" rim

no sure about how improved these are nowadays, but when i bought my FTO 5yrs ago my mechanic advised me to ditch the nexens on it pronto as he considered that make very dangerous in the wet.

There is a good website 'tyrereviews' I think, that has lots of info and feedback from users.

I found it usefull...... but not gospel!

Ok cool just struggling to find 225/45/16 only a few manufacturers make that size and nexen 3000 is one of them

No problem, a lot of budget tyres are top manufacturers tyres made under licence once they have moved on to their next must have tyre, so they're not all bad.

The problems come when you use a tyre that's designed for a very hot climate in a cold climate and of course vice versa.
