Just got my car back from Barbz and thought I share my experience.

1) Replaced blowing exhaust manifold (warped) with a special Barbz modified item.
2) Re-routed intake pipe from FMIC.
These two items combined not only have restored the lost power but there is also a healthy increase throughout the rev range ! Spool up is so much quicker also. In 5th gear I am getting 1.28 BAR at 2850 RPM ! So obviously very pleased with the new driveability.

3) Replaced knocking nearside top mount.
Improve ride and handling no end. It's so surprising how such a small component can have this much effect !

4) And finally replaced knackered top engine mount bush with a uprated item.
Far less unwanted engine movement and vibration

Obviously I very happy with the work done and the results achieved.

Well its not far!

Can't remember the train station that's 2mins away though.

Barbz is a top guy though, always busy as hell.

How come he is never on here then?

I bought a coupe off an old forum member and he use to do all the work. That was a good 2-3 years ago.
Would nt mind having a little chat about it.

He is, but rather than post a lot, he just sits and looks at our slow coupes while he is getting the daddy of all coupes ready! laugh

Good idea. Has he got a website too.

Wouldn't mind him seeing the car too though, as I think I have transformed it.

P.s phone number please.

Thanks, Maurizio.

This is a worthy question that needs some thought..from my reading around and chatting with various chaps who have got work done, i believe his reputation proceeds him. We need Barbz, rather him needing the forum for promotion.

Correct me if am wrong, but isnt he the first one to make the 2.4ltr conversion and did work on mavric's coop to make the fastest 1/4 mile dash, not to mention JohnS 616bhp monster, as evident on torquestats?

yup I reckon Barbz has moved coupe tuning forward, more than anybody else.........in the world !!!.

He is a top guy who will care more about your car than you will imagine...... give him your car and some money and you will be amamzed at the transformation when you get it back laugh

I`ve done it twice in the past, and going for a third time....that was supposed to be 2 weeks ago but the crappy weather put paid to that,-----will let you know when it goes and the results when i get it back wink

John s`s 616bhp `monster` will be chicken feed when he finishes his latest `project` shocked

him and Flea together are untouchable.

of course only my opinion smile

No offence, but that is a bold statement to make..however if true then I believe barbz is using stolen alien technology from Area51 to do it? Maybe aliens fly Fiat?
