As if i hadn't had bad enough luck with this car already,.

It went into the body shop 4 weeks ago for the paintwork to be done.
The front doors were rippled as usual the front bumper was .......well the wrong colour as i sold the original one,and the bonnet had had a bodge repair to the front.

So i went to give them a hand refitting the panels and fitting the new zender kit when we noticed that the bonnet had reacted to something.
And very noticeable.

The chap whos doing it is a perfectionist and said its going nowhere as hes not happy with it.

Anyone whos seen the 205 he painted in our workshop will know what i mean.



So all the paint has to come off again and it now means that i wont get it back until midweek now.

Running out of time yet again as it hasn't even been mapped yet.

And my engine bay was covered in dust

But on the plus side the doors are absolutely fantastic.

Never seen anything like it,like a mirror down both of them

Without a doubt when its done it will look absolutely amazing,but in a year of owning the car i have driven it
800 miles on running in,
40 miles of having a play on the way back from Bristol when it was broken on the old engine.

All i can say is it best be worth it when its done.

ill get your engine bay shiney again mate, and you have to admit, once we had fitted the bumper she was looking very good, bar the bonnet.

Those extra few days will be worth it.

Even though the bonnet had reacted, How shiny is the paint on your coop Should be well worth the wait!

in fact its that shiny that i may have to paint the rear 1/4 panels and the roof.
But saying that the back bumpr has been painted and it doesnt stand out against the boot.
But im well impressed with the finish of the doors.

Oh its shiny ,its just a little blotted too.

Time to find myself a corner and cry.The engines been done for 2 months now and its still not painted.
Why must it always be like this.

I know how it gets you down, been there, I rarely drive my car nowadays, infact when I fitted my DT2 rear shocks, the ride was SO hard that I just couldn't be bothered to take em' off & reset, got round to it today, set them to about 15% rather than the 50%, what a difference, so much nicer, then turned the boost back up to 1.5b , flies like a good un'

These cars do require lots of maintenance, I've still got a big list of things to do, take it as it comes pal

Left the old gal with him for a few weeks to work some magic.

Not visited the Zoo yet but walked past it many a time.

I went to the Pub down the hill.

If it goes bang this time then its getting broken for spares.
