Escort Cosworth turbochargers use the same 3-bolt turbine housing so you can fit a T34 destined for a Escort Cosworth. There a couple on Ebay now. You could also build / have built for you a hybrid using a T04E compressor housing and comp. wheel modified to suit. Again there are a couple on Ebay. Nobody does a 'kit' as such for the 16VT. So you'll have to be awesome like the rest of us 16VT owners get handy with a spanner and angle grinder. I'm assuming you know there's more to power than just a bigger turbo though

If you want a linear amount of power (about 200-300 hp) for a 16VT wouldn't the GT28RS be the best?

If you want a linear amount of power (about 200-300 hp) for a 16VT wouldn't the GT28RS be the best? Turbine Inlet: gt28 series has T25 flange (as on 20vt mainfold), and stock 16vt mainfold has T3 flange,so it's not a direct fit... Turbine Outlet: gt28 series has 5-bolt outlet, so a new or reworked downpipe is required.

So what is the best turbo for a linear amount of power without to much fiddling for a 16VT?

So what is the best turbo for a linear amount of power without to much fiddling for a 16VT? By "linear power" You probably mean decent power with quick spool and little lag? Because there isn't "linear power delivery" on turbocharged cars, the torque curve surges to max after spool and stays flat or declining towards the redline... it's never "linear" compared to N/A engine. There's a 16VT Tuning Workshop with a section dedicated to turbine upgrades...

You are saying you want a larger turbo but how much do you have to spend and what other mods do you have if you are still on a standard engine you can go for a T34 upgrade which is very common and your old turbo can be sent off to be refurbished into a T34 and these are good for making 300bhp with correct midifications.

Tres bien! What price? BTW, He'll still need an angle grinder to fit the FMIC! Unless you have a solution that fits perfectly behind the bumper?

It this doesn't fit your budget you could get a journal bearing T3/T4 but i only offer the roller bearing model. Yeah intercooler is a different story. It all depends what you want to do, we usually move the battery to the boot giving the required space for a chargecooler and then run an uprated SMIC. That's ok for 350bhp, air intale temps stall at 60°c max even during heavy racing so for road/occasional track use this is certainly ok.

If you look, at one point you see the rev counter and that is around 3000rpm, then there is still more revs before it decides to produce any boost. The GT3076 started boosting around 4000rpm on mine, so would guess the GT35 would be close or more than 5000rpm

a GT2871R will get you close 400bhp and not too laggy. 1,5bar at 3300rpm is not too bad.
