Oh yea seller looks dodgy I wouldn't even contemplate buying this (or any coop) without viewing it. Just wondered if it had been owned by any Forum members previously

The belts haven't been done since 70K, late 2004 Max I would offer for this is £1200 - and thats assuming everything else has been done He said he's going to look through the history regarding the other big stuff. I'm not holding out much hope on this one - he certainly aint 'cooped up'

I asked the usual questions & this was his reply: "i can tell you that firstly, this isnt my only,or 1st coupe, unlike you i am an owner as well as an enthusiast.i can tell you that i have a full fiat service history right back to the bill of sale, all 3 keys,a massive catalogue of work carried out at the right time by the right people.as for your recommendation as to when and how far i drive my car ,i belive that is my choice.the car is the straightest anyone will come across and obviosly would not suit you.please look elswhere for 1" I think this was a get-out, as he didn't in reality have a clue how to answer them!

to be honest, your coming across in a bit of a poor light. I'm assuming you have some what of a small budget to put towards the coupé? This is why you come in with an original very low valuation of some one else's car. http://www.fiatcoupeclub.org/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1039188#Post1039188and then jump in saying your may be interested. its possible that some people are very proud of there car be it a forum member or not. I have no idea how pointed your questions were towards this owner, it does look however that they were rather sharp If I'm wrong, great, id happily accept that. Just don't be surprised when people react

All I simply asked him was about the history of the car regarding the important jobs, as he hadn't mentioned anything in the ad & I also reminded him that the belts were scheduled to be done & I would have to factor this in my purchase price. the questions were not 'sharp' as such But he failed to even attempt to answer any questions, just came out with the above. If I sell my current car for around my desired price, I will have a budget of £2500 - which is more than reasonable for a well maintained sorted 20VT in the current coupe market. TBH I don't want to look on eBay/PH/ATrader etc, I want to buy one from a Forum member on here who has maintained it correctly. But there isn't alot coming up on here lately - apart from heavily modified - which I'm not interested in. Patch234's looks simply ideal but sadly I do not like the colour Those that are coming up I am pursuing in the correct way i.e. sending a PM with my questions - which is exactly what I did with the one on eBay & thats what I get back. Regarding my valuation of someone else's car, that was simply what I would be willing to pay for this particular car if it meant I had to get the belts done straight after buying, of course you have to look at each coupe individually, which is what I'm doing

As far as colours go, JLow - I don't know if you've properly seen one the same colour as Patch's, but in the flesh even the coop colours you think you don't like suddenly look fantastic!

Shame I can't be a bit more like him. I might get more done at work. And about the house. Or in the garden
