Hello peeps,

I've searched on the forum but cant find anything obvious. My alarm fobs are no longer working so if I'm reading the threads I have found correctly, my first port of call is to replace the batteries.

The thing I cant find is which batteries I need to buy and where the best place is to get them from.

Any help would be appreciated.

If it is the Scorpion (which has 2 square buttons and a slider on the side) I got a replacement from Jessops camera shop. The price (£8 shocked )made me cry but I got over it eventually.

i needed two batteries and I put them in and it still wont work? I'll test them in the other fob when I get home, but it looks like I have a fob that is no longer synced up.

Get this.... the fobs have never worked.....put the new batteries in and stood next to the car testing it but nothing happened.

About an hour or two later there was an alarm sounding outside which I obviously ignored, but eventually I looked outside muttering "Which pleb is letting their alarm go off over and over again" and saw the indicators going on the coupe. went outside and now the alarm and central locking works perfectly?????

Not very often someone can say that a coupe has fixed itself smile

Hi djmobi, can you remember what the battery number is for the batteries for the round fob. Is it right you need 2 batteries, one on top of the other, thanks Russ

Is there a time limit to swap the batteries over, or does it go 'out-of-sync' as soon as the battery is removed?
