I have a speed red '99 20vt. Just over a week ago the clutch started to go. Girlfriend was using as day to day transport but she's now bought another car ( VW not Italian ). I'm looking to sell without getting the clutch replaced. Basically how much is she worth? History: - Registered Jan 1999 Owned by myself since 2002. 79k Miles Speed Red Most work carried out by L&M June '08 (@ 70k) had new manifold, front wishbones, shock absorbers, top mounts. Cambelt done at around 58k about 4.5 years ago (I think). Due to small dent in offside wing and bonnet just had new bonnet, wing and front end resprayed (a couple of months ago). Usual small car park dings, as normal for age + a couple of small scrapes.

Cheers for the reply.
To be honest I just want to get shot asap. It'll be off the road and uninsured in a week and I don't want it sat around for too long. I'm not expecting big bucks, just like to get some money in and see someone keep her on the road.
Taxed till end of July. I think MOT was done in October, need to check with the missus.
Forgot to mention, it's got a spare refurbished alloy and two new tyres on the front and also a strut brace.

I would suggest you're looking at 1650 - 1950 when the jobs are done, so take those off the price £400 clutch £400 Cambelt £200 bodywork So around £700 - £900 by that equation, although pictures would help

Thanks very much for the replies, your help is very much appreciated. To be honest, I'm very torn between getting the clutch done and keeping it and selling it as is. The heart says keep it the head says sell.
I've taken some pics today, I'll try and post tomorrow.

Girlfriend was using as day to day transport but she's now bought another car ( VW not Italian ). and your still with her ? I would get her to pay to fix the clutch then dump her. That will teach her

Thanks again for the comments. New clutch requested from missus met with hard stare which I took to mean no She did point out that she'd already put a new battery in it just before the clutch started to go though For those interested, here a few pics .... http://www.flickr.com/photos/93983639@N00/sets/72157623601351765/

I know mate, I need to calm down! Joe, of course will be happy as larry, as my cars always go to him and this one needs a cambelt and a clutch! I might turn this one into a Plus

Cheers all for the advice and interest.
I've thought long and hard and the heart has ruled the head. I'm going to get the clutch done, sort the body work out and keep it. I'm probably going to regret it financially but I can't see the back of her. I'm particularly liking the idea of turning it into a plus if I can find a decent interior.
Thanks again. Steve.
