In the sense that you just take it everywhere and more importantly park it anywhere, without worrying about someone damaging it? I enjoy driving my Coop and I can take it on a 10 mile or a 200 mile journey. The only thing that worries me is having to take it somewhere and having to try parking it in a really tight spot (where the turning circle really helps ) or having to leave it unattended in an area where someone might damage it. How do other forum members find this aspect of Coupe ownership?

i drive mine every day i leave the house and love driving it - i look back her every time i leave her too, even if it's mainly been waving her goodbye on a AA trailer recently... i hate leaving her in car parks though, there are so many useless/careless/selfish barstewards about

No, it's not my daily driver but when it is I try to find the most uncrowded parking spot available, even if it is some 100 or 200 meters away from the shopping mall door.

Its my daily driver and the paintwork is knackered anyway so I don't mind leaving it everywhere.
Cars are meant to be driven. Mine goes everywhere! Love it!

I do worry about mine getting damaged, but have my own parking spot at my first job and the second job, well, sort of have my own spot, but it's 'fairly' safe there anyway. As I don't finish work until midnight, then I find that's a good time to go shopping without worrying too much about the car Anywhere else that I may have to go, then I either park a million miles away or take up two spaces and don't give a fccuk what anyone thinks Although I must admit, that on the rare occasion I go into town at the weekend, I take the train It's only about £1.20 return, so cheaper than driving there, parking up and stressing about the car all the time I'm in town.

I used my Coupe every day for 18 months and 17,000 miles. The only thing that bothered me was the fuel consumption, but then it was worth it.

'em! the thing that worries me about that is the amount of vindictive cocks around prepared to damage your car because you "dare" to protect your property so. i try to park well over one side of the line to discourage people rather than take an obvious 2 spaces

How do other forum members find this aspect of Coupe ownership? My coop is a daily driver (albeit not by me!). I always found parking her a problem (waits for the onset of women driver jokes ). The turning circle in the 16VT is slightly better but still not brilliant and I hated leaving her anywhere. At Tesco I used to always take up 2 spots or park in a place which wasn't technically a space. However, when you do this you run the risk of someone taking exception to your parking and perhaps intentionally taking their frustration out on your car. I get the wee wee taken out of me all the time for having to think about the parking situation before I go anywhere! Is that weird? Having skirts on her as well - I have to think about speed bumps too - oh and not damaging the new alloys or paint job. Christ it's a wonder she gets driven anywhere at all! EDIT - actually Mr L parked her in 2 spaces in Tesco the other week and a woman tried to run him over because she didn't like it! (No it wasn't me!)

Mine was a daily drive and i hated it most of the time. Driving it to work was dreadful, i'd get on the A1 and it'll be packed almost bumper to bumper doing 60mph and i was scared someone would run into the back of me as they tail gate constantly. Then getting to work i'd have to do 5mph over the speed bump otherwise it'll bottom out and i had to drive round the whole car park to use a different exit as i couldnt get back over the speed bump without scraping it As for parking everyone dumps their cars anywhere and a lot of people seem to get prangs in that car park. But when it came to the weekend i'd love it, being able to take my time and enjoy the drive on a sunny day! I only ever miss it at weekends! But i have the big old Alfa now which is comfy and will happily cruise anywhere for me

In a word, NO. When I parked it up ( when new in London, a long time ago ),came back & yes, big dent in the door, paintless dent removed it, but no, actually use a shitty car on a day to day basis, never been happier

Again, *no* Its not great around town, its a sod to park, it drinks petrol in start stop traffic, its heavy, its too bumpy on city roads. Thats why we also have a town/city car thats very good at all of the jobs the coupe is rubbish at. The coupe is very good at the jobs the 500 is rubbish at. Country side blasts, engien sound track, motorway trips, cross country trips! There is a time and a place for everything, sadly the need for a 258bhp car in todays society/road conditions is nearing its end though

My 20v NA was a great daily drive although not in the winter.. I prefered to use the Stilo then. Sometimes not even out of choice.... frozen hand brake Time will tell with the 20vt

Yup, use it everyday, for at least 70 miles a day...plus usually a 140 miles to Norwich and back once a week. Absolutely love it, it makes every trip a pleasure, but....and I'll probably get shot for saying this...I drive and treat it like a 'normal' car. It doesn't get washed as often as it should, the inside is a tip of empty Haribo packets and Coke bottles, I'll park in only one space (shock horror). It has a dent in the bonnet. It has signs of surface rust. OK, I regularly check the fluids and let it warm up before giving some beans, but somehow I feel slightly guilty that I'm not doing more to look after what is now a rare 16vT. But then, at the end of the day, it is my only car. I shall continue to use it, and I will try and stop worrying

Don't have mine as a daily driver. I have a Stilo to wear the main brunt of the mileage I do. When I am in the Coupe, I'm very fussy where I park it. My parking style does draw attention... I was in Halfords on Saturday when I heard a voice say "I thought that was your car when I saw the parking" - it was a mate I hadn't seen in years but knew what I was like with my motors

My coupé is very much a fair weather coupé, not a daily driver. I'd love to use her as a daily driver but the head says no, thanks to the economy/power of a modern turbo diesel..... For all those who do use two spaces, you might want to read this story: click (Please take note, I am not passing judgement at all, merely passing on a warning!)

Yep mine's my daily driver and I must admit I do worry a little about where I park it but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet.
It's a JOY to drive and I love the looks, the sound, the performance and the interior. What a package!

I've had mine for just over two years and it is my daily driver. I park in an allocated space at work, both of the guys who park either side of me have been pulled to one side for a little chat about potential damage...they have been warned. Never leave the coupe alone overnight, if i'm on a night out and need to leave a car i take my co bmw. I don't care what happens to that.

Mines a daily driver. Couldn't care less about the paintwork anymore. Hate the thing below 3.5K rpm - its a pain, and if someone runs into me and writes it off, i'll not care too much.
