looking forward to hearing some mixes
Cheers Theresa. Once I figure out all the new bells and whistles I'll get something uploaded to annoy your neighbours.
nice bit of kit Pioneer XDJ-RX Controller
Seems it so far. There are other controllers which have a few more tricks up their sleeve but they require you to use a laptop whereas this is stand alone which is what I wanted.
I've only used it for a couple of hours so far and I'm very impressed. It's much easier to mix nowadays as skills like beat matching isn't needed and you have visual aids to tell you when there's breakdown in the track and where each phrase starts. It's a shame in a way that anybody can buy some gear and then they're able to do mixes in a matter of days to a standard which would have taken 6 months of practice.
I don't have anywhere in my house where I can keep it set up. At the moment I have the speakers on a shelf in my conservatory and I'm using my ironing board as a deckstand
then when im dome the controller is stored down the side of a chest of drawers in the corner of the room.
