Ive checked out the How to guide.. and was wondering

Is it worth repairing them or buying a cheap set with seals intact? And then painting the cheap set and put new decals on...??

Why do you want refurbed calipers in the first place?

- To look good
- To work better

The seals aren't expensive (£25 per set), but if you are splitting the calipers you might aswell replace pad guide bolts and clean up the guides too (stops pads from sticking). Spraying calipers is also a hell of a lot easier with all the other bits removed

Personally i would buy another set AND a seal kit.

Refurb them, and put them on the car, then refurb the other ones and sell them on.

(reason being that whilst they're off you might as well put new seals on them)

Nobby.

Im refurbing them as the dust covers are starting to come away. I noticed this when i changed my pads and discs..

Ive always had intentions of re spraying them as they are in need of a good paint n new decals.

Truffle.

I think your idea would be the rite idea mate..

I refurbished mine but never replaced the fluid seals as they didn’t need replacing. The dust seals are £3 each. Powder coating was £30. Sticker decals £5. Well worth doing. Have a look at this thread http://www.fiatcoupeclub.org/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=69749&Number=848285#Post848285

AP Racing ltd or http://www.compbrake.co.uk/index.html gave me a number for the old Brembo UK importer.
