Hi Solas was it hot over there? did you get stuck in any heavy traffic? That is one of my concerns for my road trip that the car may overheat (probably paranoia)! Like you, i have had an oil change using fully synthetic. I'm leaving this Saturday. Its good to see that you got an average mpg of 35, a lot of people seem to be saying they cant get more than 30 mpg

Poalo I was really surprised at the terrible conditions of the roads in Europe. In a lot of areas in France and Germany there are roadworks every 20 miles or so causing long delays allthough the road from Calais through Belgium and Luxembourg was ok.the return journey on different roads was a nightmare the motorway through Germany was really bad a lot were down to 2 lanes with max speed of 130k but cars were still doing over 100mph. the temperature was in the region of 27c- 29c but further south in the Rome area they had it really hot over 33c.I was concerned about the temperature with the climate there being a lot hotter but the car was ok if the temp gets too high the fans should kick in anyway,i only lost water cos of being in 1st gear for miles and miles whilst going over the St Brnard pass behind a load of camper vans.anyway have a good trip
