Is it this weekend? Excellent i'll be in Bournemouth smile

Worse time of the year for us locals, the roads become full of wannabe Schumachers getting lost and going the wrong way round one way systems.

Will be going again this year from S.Yorks(fathers day pres from my son, booked 2 months ago),went last year in coop & what a fab day.You can get up close to everything & so much to do & see,but take heed.Get there 1st thing in morning & leave 1hr before finish(its only a repeat later & you miss all traffic morn & eve) Also try & take some scran with you,i.e. £5 for titchy bacon butty there. The R.N.Fleet Air Arm Lynx display team will be there(hence scran).

looks like the best day of the 3.
Lots of friday tickets on ebay though, might be
bargins.

If you like F1 love The star list is fairly impressive
to say the least for the Sunday

The Brawn GP is a static display as the car has to go to Germany for the GP after it, so this year he won't be in a position to blow the gearbox and rads up ;-)

I'm going on the Friday! I won some tickets though a Sunday Times competition. smile

Sadly no JB or LH on that day, but I got to see them several times last weekend, not just on the track... wink

so tips are if never been before the usual sort
of things, get there early, leave early, take
own grub. Camera + spare batteries etc.

Any particular roads to avoid ?

Don't be scared to talk to the people in the paddock. They are only human. I had a great chat a few years ago with one of the chaps from DK engineering - who was trying to mend a Porsche 917k love

I went on Friday for my first FoS.

What a great day out and not even a race in sight! This surprised a race-only fan. Might on on a SDat or Sun next time.

Got a few vids on YT already... smile

I must admit, I'm a bit displeased at the total lack of Hamilton and Button footage on YT too. What gives with that?

Beth and I went yesterday, what a great day out. We are both in real pain from sunburn though blush

We took the Caterham and followed parking for bikes which was a great move with nice tarmac to park on and security there all day.
Getting there at 7am and leaving at 4pm together with plotting a route on B roads meant not one delay! cool

How good did those Audis sound. cool Best runs of the day were Glock in the Toyota who was really chucking the car around and Kagayama riding the hill mostly on one wheel! Ooh, Nascars cool too, VERY loud.

Really tired now. zzz

thanks all for the tips. Got there for 8am and
left at 4pm, excellent advice.

Paddocks excellent.
So much to see def going next year.

Did it in the Coupe, 2.5 hours each way, no failures,
only gripe was hitting a pothole in right hand lane on M25 about 3 miles before the dartford crossing heading north. Worth watching out for if you've 17s or 18s.
Wheels & tyres ok though.

Did suffer a £5 frown bacon bagette but really needed one
after the smell came whoffing past. love

What? We spent a lot of time exploring the countryside - the fields, mostly from a stationary position.

I was there in my Coop too btw. It got quite a few looks too. Few Bentley's, a Fezza and a new GTiR and the passengers were having a good look. Parked up next to a 599 but I don;t think it would've stolen many looks though.

Saw a Yellow Coop in the same field as us - A West. Anyone here?

Three great days and you need them all to give the cars and bikes a good look and listen.

Highlights were Jesse James in his custom all terain vehicle, the American muscle cars, Glock in his F1 car and the jap guy who rides/hangs onto his bike.

I wouldn't rush to attend next year as i feel it will be too similar but i would attend again in a few years.

I thought Jenson was very lazy as he wouldnt come out of the Brawn paddock to meet the public after being there for a very short time, his advicer said "he thought there were too many people"....the same but to a lesser degree with Lewis, my nephew was gutted! Glock was very good with the public meeting and show boating the Toyota F1 up the hill.

I saw one very tidy sprint blue coop a row or two away from our camping area in field 11.
