So many great memories -

First drive home after purchasing my car from my Father. Wow!

Meeting so many great people at various meets and trackdays over the years. Best ones being the Xmas meets, the two SW meets I arranged (Cheddar and Lynmouth/Porlock), 10th anniversary at Rockingham, trackdays at Bedford and Snetterton.

Creating and sharing many different video clips with you guys.

My drive around Europe before selling my first Coop - Stelvio pass, 168mph indicated on the Autobahns, Monaco, Nurburgring etc.

Despite costing a small fortune to run and modify, together with chronic paranoia, my memories are all positive. As I mentioned before, if I could find and buy my first Coupe back (P670 DPB) I would!

Corvette C6 (manual of course)

You would have thought so! While they are all great cars they are all a bit too...errrm(whats the right word?)...dare I say "efficient" in how they go about their business. Stonkingly quick, great road holding but not the same sense of excitement (if you can call waiting for the next broken part excitement?)

Definately the drive home after buying her. Was teeming down with rain so was pretty cautious to start with but dried up a little towards home and nailed it for the first time coming off an island......Big smile!!!

Taking an Alfa driving friend out in it for the first time, and his unprintable response to flooring it through first to fourth.

Only had it on the road for three weeks though, hopefully lots more to come!

my 3rd 20vt that i used last october at the nurburg- ring!! despite many many doubters.. it not only did 1200 miles over a weekend but was pushed hard on track and on one particular lap seemed to catch everything and eventually pass even the most stubborn! including a group of porkers! even if they backed off as they had some serious power on the straights however i latched on made up some time following for a truly unforgettable experience... and to think people say the coupe doesnt handle well!!! mine was std suspension with stage 1 power only and was excellent there!! anyone looking to go DO IT!! once in a lifetime. with 3 adults half a tank of v-power and a boot full of kit on a drying morning we did a sub 9 min btg lap so not too bad considering!!
i have more great memories but that one will take some topping for me!

I have 2 - the first was picking it up. We had a 3 - 4 hour drive home which was amazing. I always remember thinking how big the dash looked for some reason. It was the first turbo car i'd ever driven too, so that was some treat!

The second happened last week - driving down to Le Mans. Twas flawless. 1001 miles of great driving. Parping the engine in the tunnels was immense - first time in 3 years of ownership i've done that. Had a friend with me who has a chip on his shoulder about Fiats - i think he was even surprised how well it performed!!

Quite a few for me:

Messing about with Jonny On track.

Driving up to Santa Pod with Marcus and Flea (around 1000 bhp or so between the three cars at the time...)

Lots of others as well such as FINALLY getting the Gaz suspension set up right, and getting the big brake kit on the car!

I've got loads of excellent memories of driving the coupe but the outstanding one has to be my last drive home from Countrycruising a few months ago. He had just removed a broken stud from the manifold and fitted a few other new bits and the car was a dream to drive. Joe had just completely sorted my car out, but it had taken him six hours and he only charged me £200! I was smiling from ear to ear!
