All - Swapped my insurance over to cover my LE but the insurer did not have the LE listed - just a 20VT for the year and reg.? Should I insist it specifies an LE (gave them the reg?) as an LE should be of slightly more value? On any online site where you search via reg. it never shows as a LE (yes its defo one!) I know theres some debate about what they were defined as by the DVLA on log books etc.......

Its daft isn't it Alistair? Its obvious we know more about these cars than the insurers so I may insist its defined as an LE..............I was rather pleased my premium was no higher than my Alfa 159 though

i got two prices before, one for my 20vt and one for an LE, the LE was £300 more to insure. a standard 20VT is an insurance group 19 and an LE is a 20.

I had similar problems with Admiral. Guy there said they didnt have LE on their database for 1999, only 1998 registered cars. (Although your LEs look like they are 1998 so I'm confused (.com)).
I didnt want to get into rubbish later on when perhaps I'm claiming where they might say I've modded it to be an LE !!!
Anyhow, they insured me for £301 on 20 VT and I next sent them pics of my LE and got them to reply in writing stating they understood it WAS an LE. So perhaps a good deal doing it that way, after all.
